What you will be doing:

The Senior Project Manager partners with Organization Leadership and internal teams to support projects in accordance with established project goals and objectives. As an integral member of the project management team, this key role leads cross-functional project teams and partners with internal leadership to deliver project results in an efficient manner consistent with client expectations.

  • Manage a portfolio of complex initiatives that span one or multiple lines of business
  • Provide leadership for project team by building and motivating team members to meet project goals, adhering to their responsibilities and project milestones
  • Full project life cycle ownership: successful project delivery will include full implementation from initiation to deployment for one major or several minor initiatives simultaneously
  • Manage all aspects of multiple related projects to ensure the overall program is aligned to and directly supports the achievement of strategic objectives
  • Report on project success criteria results, metrics, test and deployment management activities
  • Work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation and excellence
  • Participate in establishing practices, templates, policies, tools and partnerships to expand and mature these capabilities for the organization
  • Prepare estimates and detailed project plan for all phases of the project
  • Manage the day-to-day project activities and resources and chairs the project management team meetings
  • Provide status reporting regarding project milestones, deliverable, dependencies, risks and issues, communicating across leadership
  • Understand interdependencies between technology, operations and business needs
  • Manage project scope and changes
  • Assist in dispute, negotiation, arbitration or litigation, as needed
  • Develop and manage all aspects of project and program engagement from planning, external vendor relationships, communications, resources, risks and issues
  • Assign tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel
  • Monitor, track and control outcomes to resolve issues, conflicts, dependencies and critical path deliverables
  • Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation and presentations to various audiences, including project team, sponsors, CIO and key stakeholders
  • Determine the frequency and content of status reports from the project and program team, analyze results and troubleshoot problem areas
  • Define success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout project and program life cycle
  • Identify and develop trusted adviser relationship with project and program stakeholders, sponsors and university stakeholders
  • Ensure that projects and programs are proceeding according to scope, schedule, and quality standards
  • Manage project and program issues and risks to mitigate impact to baseline
  • Continue professional development in order to keep abreast of emerging technologies, methods and best practices
  • Extensive understanding of project and program management principles, methods and techniques
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Proven success in providing leadership for project team by building and motivating team members to meet project goals, adhering to their responsibilities and project milestones
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management

What you bring to the table:

  • Bachelor degree required in relevant discipline (Project management, Marketing, IT, Business)
  • Minimum of 5 years of verifiable experience as a Project Manager
  • Knowledge or experience using Agile Methodology in Projects
  • Experience leading project teams and users in the delivery of solutions
  • Experience managing project schedule, timelines and planning within Project Management systems
  • Experience working in a call center environment is a big plus
  • Bi-lingual in English and Spanish is preferred
  • Current Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, Certified Project Management Associate (CPMA), or working on a PMP certification is preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly skilled in PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, Word, Microsoft Project, Visio
  • Effective presentation and communication skills
  • Highly developed time-management, organizational, and problem solving skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Leadership and change management skills
